On 29 September 2021, Shamawar reinforced its commitment to community well-being through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative involving the handover of oxygen concentrators to Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan, Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.
The contribution was organised by Shamawar through the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA), in collaboration with Celcom Malaysia and Yayasan Hasanah. The initiative was carried out during a critical period of the COVID-19 pandemic, when healthcare facilities and frontline personnel were facing unprecedented pressure in managing and treating patients requiring respiratory support.
The oxygen concentrators were contributed to strengthen the hospital’s medical equipment capacity and provide additional support for healthcare teams caring for COVID-19 patients. Beyond the value of the equipment itself, the initiative represented a collective effort between the corporate sector, humanitarian organisations and social impact partners to respond to an urgent national healthcare need.
For Shamawar, corporate responsibility goes beyond business performance. We believe businesses have an important role in supporting communities, particularly during times of crisis. Through meaningful partnerships such as this initiative with MRA, Celcom Malaysia and Yayasan Hasanah, Shamawar continues to contribute towards initiatives that create tangible and lasting social impact.
This collaboration reflects the spirit of shared responsibility, compassion and unity—demonstrating what can be achieved when organisations come together with a common purpose: to protect lives, support our healthcare frontliners and strengthen the resilience of our communities.
