Empowering Employees to Lead with Integrity: 90 Staff Trained in Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption

Shamawar has successfully achieved its 90% staff training target for Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption , marking an important milestone in strengthening ethical awareness, accountability and responsible business practices across the organisation.

On 21 April 2025, employees participated in the one-day training programme, “Standing Out Against the Tide: Employees Leading the Way on Anti-Bribery and Business Ethical Standards,” conducted by ESG Training & Consultancy Sustainability & Innovation, an HRD Corp Training Provider.

The training strengthened employees’ understanding of bribery and corruption risks, ethical business conduct, individual responsibilities and the importance of making decisions based on transparency, integrity and accountability. It also reinforced the role of every employee in identifying, preventing and responding appropriately to unethical practices.

Achieving the 90% staff training target demonstrates Shamawar’s structured and measurable approach towards strengthening corporate governance and embedding a strong culture of integrity throughout the organisation. It also supports the Group’s broader ESG direction through enhanced compliance awareness, responsible leadership, risk management and stronger internal governance practices.

Shamawar remains committed to continuously strengthening its integrity framework through ongoing training, awareness and responsible business practices. As part of this commitment, employee training and awareness sessions are also conducted through the Company’s Q-Hour programme, which is scheduled on selected Fridays in accordance with the approved Q-Hour Planner. These sessions provide a structured platform to enhance employees’ knowledge and awareness on integrity, compliance, ESG, quality and other relevant organisational matters. At Shamawar, integrity is not merely a principle — it is a shared responsibility and a foundation for long-term trust, sustainable growth and organisational excellence.
