On 17 October 2024, Shamawar Elektrika Sdn Bhd conducted a Basic Occupational First Aid, CPR & AED Training at its premises. The training was organised to improve employees’ knowledge and readiness in handling emergencies that may occur in the workplace.
The one-day training was conducted by KAP Kathir Academy PLT, with Syed Noor Kamal serving as the course instructor and trainer. The programme provided employees with basic knowledge and practical guidance on first aid, CPR and the use of an AED.
The training was carried out in accordance with the requirements and guidelines of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP). This included relevant acts, regulations, orders, codes of practice, guidelines and directive letters related to occupational safety and health.
In addition, internal awareness training is held every year to refresh employees’ knowledge and keep the information fresh in their minds. These sessions help employees remember the important steps and practices covered in each training, allowing them to stay prepared and respond appropriately during workplace emergencies.
Overall, the training reflects Shamawar Elektrika Sdn Bhd’s commitment to maintaining a safe and prepared workplace. By providing regular training and awareness programmes, the company continues to strengthen employees’ knowledge of first aid, emergency response and workplace safety.
